“Know the question, and the answer will reveal.”
Mehrzad completed his PhD in Physics at the University of Zaragoza, Spain, where he explored the melt electrowriting of liquid crystal elastomers and dynamic polymer networks. His research dissected the processing-structure-actuation interplay in stimuli-responsive micro-architectures, establishing fabrication strategies for high-resolution alignment and programmable actuation in soft matter systems.
He earned his MSc in Photonics from the University of Tabriz, Iran, focusing on adaptive liquid crystal based lenses and the optical modulation mechanisms governing their tunable focal response.
Currently, his interests revolve around architected soft materials, precision fabrication, and the translation of complex material behavior into controllable, functional systems.
