Anjali completed her post-graduate studies in material science from Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR, India), followed by a joint PhD from the University of Parma (Italy) and the University of Cape Town (South Africa) where she worked on host-guest based supramolecular polymers for early-stage damage detection in composite materials. She is currently working as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow on developing ferronematic liquid crystal-based materials. Her project is an interdisciplinary collaboration between the two complementary groups of Prof. Danqing Liu and Prof. Ghislaine Vantomme in the ICMS department.
